  This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Office of Field Operations - Region IX, Santa Ana District Office in Santa Ana, California.
  
  The incumbent will collaborate with public and private sector agencies, organizations, and individuals to ensure that identified underserved communities have knowledge of and access to SBA and other federal, state, and community programs and resources that support entrepreneurs and small business owners.

  Responsibilities

  
  

  • Market all SBA lending programs and service through outreach and marketing.
  • Conduct outreach, training, education, development, lender recruitment, consultation and working with assigned lenders in the District,
  • Conduct face-to-face visits with individual lending institution for the purpose of delivering SBA loan programs and services in the District
  • Conduct or participate in training sessions designed to ensure SBA programs and services are optimized in the various financial organizations served by the District.
  • Provide assistance through consultative and customer interactions with lenders.

  Travel Required

  25% or less - Extensive travel both inside and outside the District including frequent early morning, evening, occasional weekends, and overnight.

  • You must be a US Citizen.
  • You must successfully complete a background investigation.
  • You may be required to serve on a one-year probationary period.

  Qualifications

  QUALIFICATIONS: GS-12: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-?11 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector working independently in commercial or business loan proposal development, packaging, and structuring; AND marketing lending programs and services to external customers through outreach activities; AND conducting formal training or professional development; AND in the growth and development of a customer base; and using a variety of software applications and technologies in all aspects of the job.

  Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g. professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
  
  All qualification requirements must be met by 11:59 pm (Eastern Time) on the closing date of this vacancy announcement.
