Applicants must meet the following qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of general experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector that demonstrates progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled.

Have successfully completed at least two full academic years of education above high school. One year of full-time academic study is defined as 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or the equivalent in a college or university, or at least 20 hours of classroom instruction per week for approximately 36 weeks in a business, secretarial, or technical school.

Have a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.

Must be able to obtain an interim and/or final (e.g., confidential/secret/top secret, etc.) security clearance prior to entrance on duty AND must be able to maintain the required level of clearance while employed in the subject position. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
The individual is assigned to a sensitive national security position and must be the subject of a favorably adjudicated Personnel Security Investigation (and subsequent periodic reinvestigations) resulting in a favorable eligibility determination for assignment or retention to a sensitive national security position. The work requires extended periods of standing, walking, bending, recurring lifting and carrying of moderately heavy objects, packages, mail bags, letter bins, trays and boxes weighing up to 70 pounds. Requires ability to push 700 pound bulk mail containers, 300 pound mail all purpose containers and move pallets of mail of various sizes and weights. Must be able to lift and carry mail pieces, bags and pouches weighing up to 70 pounds.
Loading and unloading of postal trucks is required. Must operate a motor vehicle.
The processing floor has a constant high noise level, and could be considered a hazardous area due to the continual movement of bulk mail containers, all purpose container, dollies and large mail tubs.
Staging, vehicle loading/unloading, pick-up and delivery are performed on loading docks and weather exposed areas. Must wear safety shoes and back support belts.
Must possess a valid state driver's license. Must be able to drive delivery vehicles, up to and including a 2 ton closed van.
