Duties

Performs customer service relations work that contributes toward the well-being of guests and the protection and safety of other employees and government property. Supervises assigned staff and provides a full range of services to guest, patrons and employees of a full service DOD military hotel. Assist with daily operations, record keeping requirements and staff training. Provides work direction, duty assignments, reviews and evaluates work. Coordinates emergency response activities with the Executive Committee and serves as an active member in the internal control program by reviewing activity and incident reports, guard tours and taking corrective action to correct policies, procedures, compliance and regulation violations. Ensures compliance with fire, safety, and security standards to include forces protection technical systems such as fire alarms, intrusion detection systems, and CCTV, electronic locks, electric guestroom safes, where applicable, are operating and maintained. Review payroll records for accuracy and submit daily attendance reports, and schedule. Maintains required class records for CPR, First Aid and other security guard class records. Serves as liaison with outside agencies, and maintains compliance with federal, state and local safety regulations. Ensures as a contract office representative that hotel contract security staff is performing duties in accordance with recognized contract.

Performs a full range of supervisory duties. Initiates actions for recruitment or reassignment and recommends selections. Conducts performance appraisals, initiates recommendations for awards and pay increases, and insures active support of diversity and equal opportunity programs. Initiates or recommends disciplinary actions as required.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE CLEARLY VERIFIABLE IN YOUR RESUME. GOVERNMENT POSITIONS MUST INCLUDE PAY PLAN, SERIES, GRADE, TO AND FROM DATES, AND GOVERNMENT AGENCY/DEPARTMENT. All qualification requirements must include experience performing duties equivalent in scope and complexity to the next lower grade level.



Directly related work experience equivalent in complexity and difficulty to at least the next lower level, that included work in military, government or civilian security guard and/or law enforcement experience involving (a) protection of property against hazards such as fire, theft, damage, accident, or trespass, or (b) maintaining order and protecting life. Must have ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Education may be substituted provided the candidate has successfully completed study at an accredited college or university leading to a degree with a major in a related field of study.

Education is not required for this position and will not be utilized in determining minimum qualifications.
