Duties
This position is located in the Northeast Consolidated Patient Account Center (CPAC) in the organization of the Chief Business Officer (CBO) at the VA Health Care Administration in Montrose, NY. As a Program Support Assistant, you will serve as a Facility Revenue Technician (FRT). The CPAC is a regionally consolidated business entity which enhances revenue operations throughout the Veterans Health Administration network by standardization and consolidation of functions, as the integration of VHA and industry best practices. Your duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

- Validates and audits potential third party reimbursable insurance claims;
- Reviews first party receivables ensuring accuracy of co-pays, conversions and other non-automated co-payment activities;
- Organizes and retrieves computerized data;
- Evaluates and performs a detailed analysis of data received from various sources;
- Reviews documents, reports, and applications for completeness and accuracy;
- Generates reports on a variety of data;
- Enters information into an automated tracking system;
- Provides patient education and assistance about services;
- Provides appropriate answers to customer service inquiries regarding accounts receivable, means and co-payment testing, and health insurance related issues;
- Establishes and maintains an effective working relationship with coworkers;
- Provides helpful and courteous service to insurance carriers and other business entities.
Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

- New employees for the Montrose location will be required to travel to Castle Point, NY for training for the first couple of months at 25 miles in each direction.
