As a participant in the Pathways Recent Graduates Program, you will receive both formal and on-the-job training to develop the required knowledge and skill to successfully perform the duties of the position. Those duties will include:
- Applies archival methods and techniques to individual items and bodies of records and other documentary materials in a variety of media (paper, audiovisual, electronic, etc.) in order to accomplish projects and perform functions in support of an archives management, records management, or document collection management program of the Smithsonian Institution.
- Provide records management assistance and guidance to offices throughout the Smithsonian Institution, including lifting and carrying boxes up to 1.5 cubic feet in volume and up to forty pounds in weight for purpose of transporting via walking and/or use of vehicular transport.
- Provides support for records surveys, appraisal, records or document disposition, records transfers or document acquisitions, accessioning, arrangement, description, preservation, digitization, metadata documentation, and automation.
