    About the Position:
    This position is located in the Planning Center of Expertise for Inland Navigation, Data Management Branch, co-located with the Huntington District Corps of Engineers in Huntington, WV, where you will perform a variety of administrative and program support duties to include database management and maintenance, and office processes.

    Responsibilities

    -Compile and evaluate data, recommend operational improvements, and generate a range of reports.
    -Assist management by recommending, initiating, and tracking personnel actions.
    -Monitor and coordinate timely completion of performance ratings within the organization.
    -Assist supervisors in the basic preparation of appraisals.
    -Answer general questions from supervisors and employees and spot-check for obvious errors.
    -Ensure staff completes training requirements on time, file training certificates for historical records, and ensure all course registrations are paid and completed within a timely manner.
    -Perform special assignments such as planning and coordinating administrative conferences, meetings, and special events.
    -Interpret regulations for application to personnel, leave, timekeeping, and performance appraisals.
    -Receive and review overtime requests for accuracy and compliance with regulations and clarify questionable data.
    -Input time and attendance into the computerized financial management and payroll system and ensure transmission to the Finance and Accounting Center.
    -Utilize office automation products to prepare travel requests and vouchers for reimbursement and make travel arrangements, such as flight, hotel and automobile reservations.
