This position is temporary and has a Not-to-Exceed date. However, an extension of the appointment may be possible without further competition. The appointment may also end early due to lack of work or funds.
This position is located in the WO or on a Forest Service Unit. The incumbent performs assignments to assist in the development of high quality information products/materials.
This position is located in Region 6 on the Mount Hood National Forest in Sandy, OR.

Positions will be filled as a temporary appointment up to 6 months.
The USDA Forest Service has legislative authority to recruit and fill Permanent (Career/Career- Conditional), Temporary, and Term Appointments under the USDA Demonstration Project. Under this authority, any U.S. citizen may apply.
Duties
Perform work involved in communicating information through visual means, including the design and display of visual materials as videos, photographs, diagrams, and objects used online.
Assists with drafting and editing video content for web, presentations, and promotional materials.
Knowledge of commonly used visual information functions that include, but are not limited to, television production, quality control/assurance, schedule administration, customer interaction and organizational products and services.
Provides technical input on the format and quality of videos, pictures, and graphics used in delivery of Enterprise Program products.
Uses existing digital images and information, and when needed takes new videos or photographs for communication materials.
Assists in the developing promotional and marketing plans and materials. This may include, but is not limited to, identifying audiences, conducting interviews, communication medium, standards for consistency, etc. to create and support a recognizable and consistent message for target audiences.
