Positions will be filled under the Department of Defense, Office of Inspector General Recent Graduates Program (Pathways Program). This program provides an entry-level developmental experience to individuals who have obtained, or will obtain within 9 months, a qualifying associates, bachelor's, master's, professional, doctorate, vocational or technical degree or certificate from a qualifying educational institution within the previous 2 years. Veterans whose military service obligations have prevented them from applying within this period have up to 6 years after degree or certificate completion to apply.
The program duration for the auditor position is two years. Upon successful completion of all requirements, you may be converted to a term or permanent career or career-conditional position at the agency's discretion.

Duties
At the GS-7 level:
- Serves as a member of an audit team
- Performs specified audit tasks and completes required training as directed by supervisor
- Researches applicable laws, directives, regulations, manuals, prior studies, and audit reports to gain knowledge and understanding of areas being audited
- Obtains data relevant to area being audited
- Completes multiple steps in an audit guide as directed by a supervisor
- Participates in discussions with audit clients
- Maintains security and accountability of classified information
- Works as a junior auditor as a member of an audit team
- Completes segments of an audit guide as directed
- Organizes and summarizes audit data to support finding elements
- Assists in writing segments of draft and final reports
- Develops audit recommendations for management action
- Maintains security and accountability of classified information

- May require up to 25% temporary duty travel (TDY)
