This announcement is issued to establish an inventory of eligible applicants and will be active for ONE month. Applicant's eligibility may not be extended. If a new inventory is needed after the expiration date, all applicants will need to apply under the new announcement. All positions are subject to the requirements of the Department of Defense Program for Stability of Civilian Employment.
The first cut-off date of eligible applicants for this announcement will occur on or about 27 JUNE 2017.
The second cut-off date of eligible applicants for this announcement will occur on 11 JULY 2017.
The selectee for this position will serve as a Housekeeping Aid in the Operating Management Department for the Director for Administration as a part of the NAVAL HOSPITAL CAMP PENDLETON, located in Camp Pendleton, California.
Duties
The successful selectee will perform the following duties:
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation to meet the standards of a hospital environment.
You may qualify for reimbursement of relocation expenses in accordance with agency policy.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability to do the work of Housekeeping Aid without more than normal supervision such as:
Correctly disposing of contaminated and infectious waste.
Operating light and heavy machinery and equipment such as combination scrubbers, carpet shampoo machines, brushes, mops, buffers, etc.
Properly sanitizing contaminated rooms according to instructions.
Using cleaning compounds correctly with other chemicals (i.e. mixing solutions).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is therefore subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations. Applicants tentatively selected for appointment to this position will be required to sign a statement (Condition of employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations.
Up-to-date immunizations are required.
Shift work may be required.
