This position is located at Fort Hunter Liggett, CA
Fort Hunter Liggett is the premier National Combat Support Training center in the Western United States. The remote location and landscape provide a realistic training exercise for troops that will deploy to combat. The Aquatics Center is located in conjunction with the Sports Complex, and offers an active pool seasonally, but open year round, plus monthly special events are held in the aquatics facility.

Duties

Provides customer service. Utilizes Child and Youth Management System (CYMS) to oversee the collection, accurate accounting and reporting of funds, and to collect and maintain up-to-date statistical data for planning and reporting purposes IAW higher headquarters and statutory requirements. Provides administrative support including typing/word processing, mail preparation, copying, distribution, telephone calls, and travel orders for CYS personnel. Prepares a variety of correspondence, memorandums, briefings, Daily Activity, and other reports required for day-to-day operation. Maintains records, files, statistical data, and suspense system. Prepares invoices, supply and equipment requests. Assignments are performed independently with assistance from the CYS Coordinator.

Qualifications

Progressively responsible administrative duties.
Skill in operating a manual or electric typewriter and current automation system and software (Microsoft Windows, Word, Power Point, Excel) required. Must be able to type 40 wpm.
Knowledge of grammar, spelling, capitalization and punctuation, and composition techniques needed to accurately type a variety of material from written sources or voice recordings.
Possess the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Conditions of Employment:

2. Meet all qualification/eligibility requirement.
3. A one-year probationary period may be required.
4. Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
5. Appointment is subject to completion of a favorable background check/investigation to determine suitability for this position.
6. Documentation of good mental and physical health and freedom from communicable disease.
7. Successfully complete all required background checks to include a health screening. An annual health screening will be required throughout employment. All local background checks will be re-verified every 5 years.
8. Shift will include hours Monday-Friday, 8:30 am through 5:30 pm. Occasional nights, weekends, and holidays for special events.

NOTE: No person, regardless of circumstance, will be approved to provide child care services and/or approved for hire in positions designate as having regular and recurring contact with children if the background check discloses that the individual has been convicted for any of the following: a sexual offense, any criminal offense involving a child victim or a felony drug offense.
