About the Position:Sexual Harassment/Assault Response Program (SHARP) provides awareness and prevention, training and education, victim advocacy, response, reporting and follow up for sexual harassment/assault issues. Army promotes sensitive care, advocacy, treatment, reporting options for victims of sexual harassment/assault and accountability for those who commit these crimes. Positions within the Army Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention (SHARP) Program are the Army's "frontline forces" in the fight against sexual assault and require significant trust. It is Army's goal that employees in SHARP positions meet the highest standards of character, conduct, and personal integrity. In order to ensure that only employees with appropriate backgrounds serve in these important positions, the Department of Army has developed guidance which requires selectees for SHARP positions undergo enhanced background checks. Duties
Manages the Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention (SHARP) Program for the Organization.
The incumbent emphasizes the commitment to maintain a workplace environment that rejects sexual harassment and sexual assault and attitudes that promote such behaviors.
Provides Policy, guidance and other information for victims of sexual harassment and sexual assault, subordinate unit commanders, first responders, and those who seek to prevent or respond to sexual harassment/assault.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Experience required: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: Providing managerial and technical assistance in programs such as equal opportunity, sexual assault prevention and response; Evaluating programs to identify and resolve systematic issues; Directing program activities that emphasize prevention of sexual assault and harassment; Establishing comprehensive policy that reinforces a culture of sexual harassment and sexual assault prevention, response and accountability.
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency (knowledge, skills, abilities) in the following areas:
Knowledge of Program Management
Knowledge of Sexual Harassment/Assault Policy/Guidance
Ability to conduct response activities
Ability to develop and provide training/education

Education: To qualify based on education in lieu of specialized experience, applicants must possess a completed Ph.D or doctoral graduate degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in education or a subject matter related to training Instruction.
OR
Combining Education and Experience: Combinations of successfully completed education beyond the second year of graduate level education and specialized experience equivalent to GS-09 may be used to meet total qualification requirements for the GS-11 grade level, and may be computed by first determining the applicant's total qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required; then determining the applicant's education beyond the second year of graduate level education as a percentage of the education; and then adding the two percentages. The total percentages must equal at least 100 percent to qualify an applicant for the GS-11 grade level.
Only graduate education in excess of the first year of graduate-level education may be used to qualify applicants for positions at the GS-09 grade level. (When crediting education, prorate the number of hours of related courses required as a proportion of the total education to be used.)

Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.

Must complete 7 week Sharp training course and completion of all requirements to obtain DoD Certification within 6 months of hire.

Individuals found to have derogatory information in any check may not be eligible for this position and may be removed from further consideration.
