About the Position:
This position is located at the 641st Regional Support Group (RSG), 143rd Expeditionary Sustainment Command (ESC), located in Saint. Petersburg, Florida.

Duties
Provide administrative assistance to the Commander and Family Readiness Group Leaders.
Demonstrates sensitivity to the diverse needs of mobilized or deployed soldiers and family members.
Schedule and coordinate various activities, events and training.
Prepare and distribute written information such as; flyers, newsletters and calendars.
Assist in the Development of call rosters and phone trees.
Establish and maintain the unit's Family Readiness Group websites.
Provide assistance to family members of military sponsors in the area of family services.
Provide accurate, tactful and confidential customer service.
Perform general clerical duties by receiving/routing calls, preparing correspondence and maintaining files
Conduct periodic and special staff visits throughout the command.
Updates the command on Family Readiness Group activities in order to minimize scheduling conflicts.
Maintains day-to-day awareness regarding public, military or administrative issues impacting the families of deployed military personnel.
Assists with briefing information related to Family Readiness issues.
This position requires a qualified typist of at least 40 words per minute.
This position may require an irregular work schedule.
This position may require overtime.
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
Specialized Experience:
Your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: communicating with soldiers and their family members; utilizing knowledge of community resources and social service agencies to aid the family readiness program; utilizing knowledge of grammar, spelling and punctuation to properly prepare correspondence and reports; and experience operating office equipment such as a computer, printer, fax machine, and telephone.
Selective Placement Factor:
This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type at least 40 works per minute based on a 5 minute sample with 3 or fewer errors.

Education:
