This position of Human Resources Assistant (Recruitment and Placement) starts at a salary of $35,030 GS-05 grade level, to $50,767 GS-06 grade level, with promotion potential to GS-08 grade level.

Duties
The duties described are for the full-performance level. At developmental grade levels, assignments will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence, and limited complexity.
As a Human Resources Assistant (Recruitment and Placement), you will:
- Perform pre-employment unit (PEU) processing to onboard new hires. This includes duties such as database entries and updating, sending and tracking tentative job offers, initiating background investigation and drug test, monitoring security clearance process, and complete entrance on duty action.
- Provide clerical, technical and administrative support to Human Resources Specialists. This will include, scanning, filing, copying, and sending automated e-mail to applicants.
- Serve as front line customer service representative; maintain customer service e-mail inbox and telephone line. Answer routine questions and refer technical questions to an HR Specialist. Provide feedback to RPB colleagues and leadership relative to recurring/systemic customer service issues and propose solutions to improve overall RPB customer service delivery.
- Research applicable laws, regulations, policies and/or procedures to support customer responses.
- Create job opportunity announcements using standard practices and templates.
- Assist the HRS in the conduct of recruitment related activities for lower-graded positions which includes reviewing applications to assess applicants? basic qualifications, communicate with applicants to acquire additional information as required and take appropriate action upon selection.
