The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released 13 YouTube videos recorded during a 'Train-the-Trainer' event which occurred in Baltimore, Maryland on August 13 and 14, 2019.  This event was to provide those responsible for training Skilled Nursing Facility staff with information to understand and adopt new data standards associated with the implementation of the Minimum Data Set (MDS) 3.0 Version 1.17.1, which became effective on October 1, 2019. During this event, presenters incorporated additional information into their presentations based on questions received from participants during the May 2019 SNF QRP Provider Training. Topics included:

• The Patient Driven Payment Model (PDPM) which became effective on October 1, 2019.
• Detailed guidance for completing MDS Sections GG, as well as to updated items in MDS Sections A, I, J, and O, including PDPM coding case examples.
• An overview of the eleven SNF QRP Quality Measures. 
• An interactive session on the use of reports to identify opportunities for process improvement and utilize information contained in reports available via the Certification And Survey Provider Enhanced Reports (CASPER) system to develop quality improvement plans.
