The Department of Labor (DOL) has created a new office and two new websites in help ensure compliance with federal labor laws and regulations. The new websites are worker.gov and employer.gov, which aim to help employees and companies, respectively, understand their rights and obligations related to wages, workplace safety and health, retirement security and other issues. The websites incorporate information from many different federal agencies, including DOL, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and the National Labor Relations Board. The new Office of Compliance Initiatives will be a cross-agency effort coordinated by the department's Office of the Assistant Secretary for Policy.
