Work environment
DRDC CORA is a distributed organization with operational research (OR) scientists located across Canada and the United States (Victoria, Winnipeg, Trenton, Kingston, Halifax, Colorado Springs and multiple locations in Ottawa). During their career we encourage and enable our scientists to change teams, including moving to different geographical locations. This provides a rich experience for the scientists and an opportunity to create great impact for the Canadian Armed Forces and Department of National Defence (CAF/DND). Our OR scientists bring to the table expertise in a broad selection of mathematical and analytical methods, tools and techniques. The duration of our OR tasks is typically measured in weeks and months, rather than years. Our employees like the ability to address a variety of operational problems, each presenting unique technical challenges and potential approaches. They also greatly appreciate being embedded with their clients and seeing the results of their analysis having a real impact on CAF/DND decision-making.Intent of the process
