Team Assistant Clerk 09R Salary $39,575.90 - $44,721.76 annually $1,516.94 - $1,714.18 biweekly $21.67 - $24.48 hourly *** The office for this position is located in Sts'ailes, north of Agassiz and an approximately 45 minute scenic commute from Hope or Chilliwack. A job opportunity exists for a full time Team Assistant for the Ministry of Children and Family Development in the Fraser Cascade region. The Team Assistant has a primary focus on providing day-to-day program support within the social services office. This is a busy multi-service role that requires a high level of tact, discretion, ability to handle stress, and ability to multi-task. The successful candidate would have strong communication and organizational skills, as well as being a team player who is willing and able to be adaptable and flexible. IMPORTANT NOTE TO APPLICANTS: This position supports four teams working from the MCFD offices located in Agassiz, Chilliwack, Hope, and Sts’ailes. Willingness to travel between these offices on a regular basis is a requirement of this position. The Team Assistant reports to the Office Manager, and receives direction from multiple stakeholders that include: social workers, Team Leaders, Managers and the immediate supervisor. The position is the point of contact for client intake and can work closely with the Aboriginal Intake team to facilitate the completion and processing requests for First Nations clients. The position requires a greater job knowledge and cultural training in order to provide program supports to programs such as child protection, CYSN, adoption/guardianship office staff, resource office staff, CYMH, Probation, and Inter-jurisdictional child welfare agencies. The Team Assistant is also a point of contact for program(s) so there is a records management responsibility, financial responsibility and there is a requirement for a greater knowledge of how the social services office relates outside the Ministry; with service providers, community organizations, and other public service organizations. The position requires an understanding of the challenges faced by clients, and potential clients, of the services and programs being offered and how the social services office relates outside the Ministry; with service providers, community organizations, and other public service organizations.
