At the Child and Parent Resource Institute (CPRI) we provide highly specialized trauma-informed mental health and developmental services. These services include Assessment, Consultation, Treatment, Research and Education. We work with local community services, building on what they have already done and use evidence based practices to adapt our approach to the unique needs of each child. CPRI is looking for a Receptionist to provide switchboard and reception duties in a bilingual position.

What can I expect to do in this role?

• Provide switchboard/reception duties
• Provide accurate and high quality production of a variety of medical records using a computer
• Receive all clients and visitors to the facility and direct them to the appropriate office
• Receive all incoming and process all outgoing mail
• Schedule and monitor the Nursing Clinic appointments
• Proof read clinical reports and documentation

Note: This successful candidate will be required to work 40 hours per week.

How do I qualify?

Mandatory

• You must possess proficiency in Advanced Level Oral French

Knowledge and Administrative Skills

• You have the ability to obtain knowledge of Organizational Operational structure, staffing, departments and programs to direct customers to the correct departments
• You have knowledge of Emergency Response and Communications Protocols
• You have knowledge of customer accessibility standards, customer service standards and Health and Safety regulations
• You have the ability to acquire knowledge of the Child and Family Services Act, the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and the Personal Health Information Protection Act

Computer and Technical Skills

• You have keyboarding skills to perform word processing functions
• You have knowledge of work processing technology, software and equipment and the visual acuity to discern report formats
• You have technical knowledge of telecommunications including Switchboard Console
• You have knowledge of alpha and numeric filing systems

Communication Skills

• You have oral and written communication skills to interact with professional staff and to monitor incomplete/deficient reports
• You can explain existing, revised or new procedures and facility documentation standards in an understandable and positive manner

Problem Solving and Organizational Skills

• You have problem solving skills to investigate non-routine work problems and determine situations that may have an impact on workload
• You have organizational skills to co-ordinate and manage information of data
• You can plan and prioritize own workload to complete tasks within short timeframes and fluctuation peaks in workload

Interpersonal Skills

• You have interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with personal contacts, external stakeholders and agencies and staff
• You have the ability to deal with non-routine occurrences that may demand flexibility and responsiveness
