About the Position:

This position is located at the US Army Installation Management Command, US Army Garrison Fort McCoy, Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security, Training Division, Range Branch, Range Maintenance Section, Fort McCoy, Wisconsin.
Fort McCoy is located in a good rural area, between Tomah and Sparta. The area offers commendable schools and reasonable housing costs situated between two major interstates. Fort McCoy has an excellent Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) program. Activities open to employees include the Whitetail Ridge Recreation Activity (ski hill, tubing and other winter sports), a fitness center with Olympic-size pool, saunas etc. and Pine View Recreation Area with an RV/camping park. Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS) on electronics
Replace cables, switches, and plug & play circuit cards in basic electronic components
Perform electrical tests on Hostile fire simulators
Perform function checks on Miles Laser targets
Run programs set for specified weapons systems
Operate a computer to run preinstalled programs which run target scenarios
Clean buildings; sweeping, dusting, washing windows, floors and walls
Travel Required
Occasional travel - The business travel requirement is 5%.
This position requires a valid state driver's license.
This position requires successful completion of a medical examination.
This position requires irregular hours of work.

Two year trial/probationary period may be required.

This position requires the selectee to work days, nights, weekends and holidays along with rotating shifts throughout the week. Rotating shifts are not on a regular or recurring basis, but as needed.
Qualifications
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
There is no specific length of training or experience required. However, you must be able to demonstrate, through experience shown in your written application materials that you possess the sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work of this position without more than normal supervision.
Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Target System Worker (MVO)~ without more than normal supervision. I have the ability to perform common tasks on a computer system. I can perform preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS) on equipment. I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. - Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating.
Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision (Screen-out Element)
Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprinting reading)
Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment
Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc.
This position requires frequent lifting, positioning and carrying target mechanisms, tools and equipment; frequent bending, stooping, walking, standing, working in cramped positions and climbing up and down a steep flight of stairs.
Works inside and outside during all types of weather conditions. When outside, you may be exposed to excessive noise and smoke, and uneven terrain.
