• Summary

  Physical fitness is a cornerstone of readiness and resilience. The Army emphasizes the importance of high levels of physical capability for the occupational tasks that Soldiers are required to perform by designating this program Category A, Mission sustaining. Physical Fitness facilities, their activities and services, develop the strength and fitness of Soldiers and the general health of the military community. Fitness programs provide Soldiers, DA civilians, Family members and retirees demand driven opportunities to combat stress, enhance general physical fitness and contribute to overall wellness of the Total Army Family. Fitness Centers facilitate both directed and self-directed physical training, conditioning and recreation opportunities.
  This announcement will be used to fill vacancies at various Fort Riley Fitness Centers.
  The Area of Consideration for this vacancy announcement is US Citizens and Non-Citizens. (Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) Preference eligible candidates are included in the area of consideration.)

  Responsibilities

  
  

  • In a patron usage facility, circulates among patrons to assure service is satisfactory; receives and resolves customer complaints; provides information and general instructions on the use of equipment, facilities and machinery.
  • Assists patrons in use of the facility by checking out equipment, providing safety instruction, demonstrating new equipment, etc.
  • Plans, conducts, publicizes and arranges support for special events, social activities, tournaments and related functions.
  • May provide work guidance to other staff.

  Applicants with previous rock wall experience will be considered as highly preferred. This experience must be clearly stated in resume to be considered as an highly preferred candidate.
  All highly preferred applicants will be referred to management first.

  Occasional travel - Minimal travel may be required for training purposes, local to Fort Riley
