You will perfom preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance and repairs and job orders, utilizing the basic building/construction trades for the U.S. Coast Guard within the Engineering Division of Sector New York.
Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignements include:
-Painting: Preparing and painting a variety of surfaces such as interiors and exteriors of buildings and all types of materials.
-Carpentry: Repairing interior and exteriors of buildings and structures.
-Performing locksmith type work including the installation, repair and replacement of various type locks and associated components.
-Roofing: Repairing roofs after leaks and determining the cause and extent of damage to include flashing, gutters and other roofing accessories.
-Masonry: Repairing and replacing masonry surfaces (e.g. brick and block walls, concrete walks, steps and curbs, sheetrock, stucco and other similar type materials.)
-Grounds: Removing vegetation and performing clean up of grounds after adverse weather conditions.Travel Required
