Provide technical assistance to contractors and to DCMA personnel on transportation matters. Determine rates and routes for freight movements.Review contract clauses and provide technical advice to both Contractor Freight Movement Procedures (CFMP) contractors, and non CFMP contractors.Operate various automated transportation programs.Consolidate demographic data for submission, conduct trend analysis, and analyze characteristics of commodities shipped. Review and analyze contractual terms.Utilize transportation regulations and DCMA policy for specific geographic areas and international shipments. Assure completeness of marking data for shipments to ensure Defense Transportation Regulation requirements are met.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience required: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.
Specialized experience is defined as: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (GS-07). Specialized experience is defined as: experience in transportation operations to identify and define requirements for use of automated systems; also of contract format and terminology to review and analyze terms pertaining to freight transportation and traffic management.
Education can be substituted for experience.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade (or equivalent).
