This position is located in the NAF processing Center on the Rock Island Arsenal. It is a Regular Full Time position with a guaranteed workweek of 40 hours and eligible for benefits and leave accrual. Learn more about this agency
Responsibilities
Performs Nonappropriated Funds (NAF) processing functions within a processing center. Performs extensive technical work in the areas of Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (DCPDS) processing, electronic Official Personnel Folder (eOPF) maintenance and NAF payroll. Codes and processes routine and complex personnel actions into DCPDS. Analyzes incoming work and conducts pre-processing reviews. Reviews processing/data entry errors and/or trends and helps to identify corrective action needed. Generates reports as necessary to perform quality control functions. Attends working groups, teams, and/or other special focus groups convened to assess unusual or interrelated processing or pay/data-entry problems. Assists with identification of underlying problems and works with groups to arrive at options or alternatives.
Uploads documents into eOPF. Receives requests for eOPFs from other agencies; reviews and purges documents from folders and prepares folder for submission to agency. Submits requests for personnel folders from other agencies; receives folders, reviews and purges documents as necessary; and recalculates service computation dates. Submits products to higher graded staff for review and final transmission of folders.
Generates and submits payroll transmittals within prescribed deadlines. Generates, submits and confirms receipt of actions with NAF Financial Services. Pulls and verifies payroll reports.

Qualifications
Possess six (6) months of work experience in a human resources or administrative profession demonstrating the capability to perform personnel action processing, official records maintenance or administrative payroll functions. Possess prior experience using Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and the ability to work with a variety of human resources information systems.
Highly Preferred: In addition to above minimum qualification requirements, applicants will possess prior work experience in a NAF Human Resources Office and possess prior work experience using the Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (DCPDS) (or equivalent) to code, review and generate notifications of personnel actions (i.e. DA Form 3434, AF Form 2545, SF-50, etc.)
