This is a Full-Time TERM position. Appointment to this position will not convey permanent status in the Federal service and will be for a period not to exceed thirteen months, with possible extensions up to a total of four years without further competition.
Travel, transportation, and relocation expenses will not be paid. All travel, transportation, and relocation expenses associated with reporting for duty in this position will be the sole responsibility of the selected employee. Learn more about this agency
Responsibilities
Assists parks in fully implementing and executing Asset Management Programs. Provides technical support on all aspects of the Facility Management Software Systems (FMSS) / Facility Condition Assessment System (FCAS) database software used to track and manage Facility Operations and Maintenance activities.Utilizes FMSS and related software programs to compile, organize and track all data collected to support the Parks' Asset Management Program. Evaluate planned and actual costs of facilities work; reviews reports to prioritize asset needs; coordinates FMSS work orders and estimates; implements, operates and maintains a database. Prepares and presents reports from FMSS databases; trains FMSS users in all phases of FMSS, Project Management Information System (PMIS) and associated software systems. Responds to questions and comments from Network Facility Managers.

Selectee will be required to participate in the Direct Deposit Electronics Funds Transfer Program.
You will be required to operate a government (or private) motor vehicle as part of your official duties; a valid driver's license is required. You will be required to submit a Motor Vehicle Operator's License and Driving Record. You must also submit (within a State sealed envelope or submitted directly by the State authorities), and at your own expense, all certified driving records from all States that disclose all valid driver's licenses, whether current or past, possessed by you.
You may be required to work on-call, evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime and shift work.
You will be required to complete a one-year trial period beginning on the effective date of this appointment.
Travel within and outside the Park will be required as part of the duties, as assigned. Travel in Government aircraft or boat may also be required as a part of the duties of this position.
You may be required to complete training and obtain/maintain a government charge card with travel and/or purchase authority.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position at the GS-07 grade level, you must possess at least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) analyzing complex data information and evaluating facilities and assets to estimate costs for renovation, maintenance and repair; planning and developing comprehensive standard maintenance programs and procedures for concession facilities as applicable to the implementation of the Park Asset Management Plan (PAMP) or similar such maintenance priority policy; utilizing a variety of software programs in the performance of tracking and reporting data, including proficiency in MS Excel spreadsheets; working independently, with some supervision once work is assigned. You must include hours per week worked.
Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
You must include months, years and hours per week worked to receive credit for your work and/or volunteer experience. One year of specialized experience is equivalent to 12 months at 40 hours per week. Part-time hours are prorated. You will not receive any credit for experience that does not indicate exact hours per week or is listed as "varies".
Education
There is no substitution of education for experience at the GS-7 grade level of this announcement.
