Must be able to obtain an interim and/or final (e.g., confidential/secret/top secret, etc.) security clearance prior to entrance on duty AND must be able to maintain the required level of clearance while employed in the subject position. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
Employee is categorized as emergency essential, (Category 5 in accordance with CNIC 3440.17), and as such may be ordered to report to duty for extended periods under emergency conditions.
Must be able to work any shift based on a rotating shift schedule.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work is primarily of a sedentary nature in an office type environment. Work is primarily accomplished at a computer terminal and keyboard requiring manual dexterity and transcribing telephone or written requests into computer system format. Use of other office type equipment may be required including but not limited to copying or fax machines. However some walking, standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling and reaching may be required. Normal mental and muscular coordination as well as vision and hearing is required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is usually performed in an office environment. Although it is an office environment, it may frequently be fast-paced and stressful. Must be able to work quickly, efficiently and accurately under pressure to accomplish assigned tasks within deadlines.
Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, your resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are being considered. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Monitoring trouble-calls from inception to closeout; 2) Entering and updating data in automated systems; 3) Monitoring ticket work flow (e.g., emergency urgent, and routine trouble calls and project tickets) to identify changes and streamline; and 4) In a customer service environment, communicating clearly orally and in writing.
