About the Position: This position is located in Yakima, Washington.
You will serve as a Secretary (Office Automation) for the Directorate of Public Works located in Yakima, Washington. You will provide administrative support. Receive visitors and maintain the Director's calendar. Provide support with personnel and administrative programs, including timekeeping and travel orders.
This position requires a personnel security background check.

You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
Two year trial/probationary period may be required.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience: Preparing and reviewing travel orders or vouchers.
Qualifying experience is at the next lower grade or equivalent GS-06.

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you may qualify if your education meets the definitions below:
To qualify for the GS-07 grade level based on education only, applicants must have successfully completed one full academic graduate level (Master's degree or above) education, related to this position, such as, business administration or business management. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts for verification)
OR
A combination of specialized experience and education which totals at least 100%. See assessment questionnaire on how to combine education and experience.
Only degrees from an accredited college or university recognized by the Department of Education are acceptable to meet positive education requirements or to substitute education for experience.
