Summary

About the Position:
This position is located at the US Army Installation Command, Directorate of Public Works, Business Operations and Integration Division, Business Administration Services, Fort McCoy, Wisconsin. Fort McCoy is located in a good rural area, between Tomah and Sparta. The area offers commendable schools and reasonable housing costs situated between two major interstates. Fort McCoy has an excellent Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) program. Activities open to employees include the Whitetail Ridge Recreation Activity (ski hill, tubing and other winter sports), a fitness center with Olympic-size pool, saunas etc. and Pine View Recreation Area with an RV/camping park. Duties

Provide courteous and timely customer service to internal and external customers.
Prepare invoice for billing to Installation customers.
Research and provide information about services and answer questions on those services.
Prepare and review reports for accuracy to be submitted to management.
Responsible for using proper English language in all correspondence based on latest Department of the Army guidance.
Responsible for proper formatting of all correspondence to create documents.
Generates reports regarding work document statistics.
Input and manage data in several different software systems such as Microsoft Access and Excel.
Determines the priority of and the correct contract to issue routine service orders.
Attend and prepare accurate meeting minutes for use by Directorate Leaders in conducting day to day business.
Coordinates with work requestors when documentation is incomplete or erroneous.
Receives requests directly from customers by telephone, in person, in writing, by fax, by email, or other electronic means.
Receives calls from customers during non-business hours, to include overnight and weekend calls.
Works independently in planning work and carrying out assignments with little review during progress of typical assignments.
Research and provide accurate information on work efforts.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers, work well in a team environment, ability to work independently, entering and reviewing data in computer programs, providing reports created in a computer program, and responding to a variety of requests from customers. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).

Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
