Duties
NOTE: This is a TERM appointment (not-to-exceed 13 months). Term appointments are non-status, nonpermanent appointments of limited duration (more than 1 year but not more than 4). Term employees are eligible to earn leave and generally have the same benefits as permanent employees including health and life insurance, within-grade increases and Federal Employees Retirement System and Thrift Savings Plan coverage. Term appointments may be extended without further competition (up to the 4 year maximum). The appointment to a Term position does not confer eligibility for promotion or reassignment to other positions or the ability to be non-competitively converted to permanent employment.
This position is located in the VA Medical Center within the Research Service Department in Los Angeles, CA. Your duties can include but are not limited to the following:
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday - 8am to 4:30pm

This position is located in the VA Medical Center within the Research Service Department in Los Angeles, CA. Your duties can include but are not limited to the following:
- Maintains all computer text, data, and spreadsheet program files for research projects across different software packages and different hardware configurations
- Compiles project memo logs as needed
- Provides data entry support for projects pursuant to the data managements specifications from the health statistician, project director, and survey coordinator
- Maintain master files of evaluation forms, consents, surveys, memoranda, regulations, and reports
- Responsible for preparing, proofing and finalizing complete and accurate correspondence, internal and external memoranda, policy statements, evaluation plans, statistical tables, research manuscripts, and presentations
- Coordinates acquisition of slides, and other training media as needed for presentations and conferences with the assistance of Medical Media staff.
- Maintains software files and archived materials of evaluation research studies, including coordination and management of documents to be mailed and maintains a variety of computer text, data, and analytic files
- Maintain project calendars based on staff schedules and investigator availability
