This position is located at Dworshak Dam and Reservoir, Ahsahka, ID, a multi-purpose hydropower project, with missions that include operation and maintenance of the facility for flood control, hydroelectric power generation, recreation and natural resources management. Dworshak Project has approximately 55 employees and is located in scenic, forested and mountainous North Central Idaho along the North Fork of the Clearwater River. Orofino, ID is located seven miles from the dam and has a population of approximately 4,000 and is at an elevation of 1,025 feet. With an average temperature of 29 degrees in January and 73 degrees in July, Orofino is known for it mild weather and long growing season. Who May Apply: US Citizens
Duties
- Serves as maintenance control technician at a multi-purpose project, supporting a comprehensive predictive, preventative and corrective maintenance control program.This will be a shared position where the selectee will spend approximately 60% of their time at the Dworshak Fish Hatchery and 40% at the Dworshak Project. A work station will be provided at each location; work assignments will dictate where the selectee spends their day.
- Utilizes an automated maintenance management system to prepare and generate work orders for various maintenance tasks such as trouble reports, special maintenance orders, and recurring preventative maintenance activities.
- Performs a variety of administrative and clerical support duties including entering data for new equipment.
- Verifies and issues notices for equipment which is due for inspection and/or maintenance, supplying operating history or relevant documentation available from the database.
- Manages and maintains a library of manuals and prints needed for support of the maintenance program.
- Assists supervisor in the planning, scheduling, and coordination of the overall maintenance program.
