This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability to do the work of Electrical Worker without more than Normal Supervision performing duties such as 1) Using basic principles of electrical theory and electronics to perform routine repair and overhaul tasks on electrical components and assemblies; 2) Performing visual checks to detect deficiencies and diagnose problems; and 3) Using hand tools and various test equipment to perform assigned tasks.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
Must be able to obtain an interim and/or final (e.g., confidential/secret/top secret, etc.) security clearance prior to entrance on duty AND must be able to maintain the required level of clearance while employed in the subject position. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Selectee will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
Selectee must obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
Work requires frequent bending, stooping, walking, standing, working in cramped positions, and climbing.
Frequently lifts, carries, and sets up items weighting up to 50 pounds. Occasionally may lift items weighing over 50 pounds with assistance.
This position may require ability to obtain licenses for the operation of Fork lift, High Lift (JLG) and/or Construction equipment, upon notification. Should work be assigned that requires special certification or licensing to perform the work or to use specialized tools or equipment, the incumbent will be required to obtain such certification or licensing and maintain any associated qualification requirements. For example, this position may require Respirator certification.
Incumbent must be able to become CPR certified.
Incumbent may be required to obtain a Class B, Bucket Truck License.
Call back and emergency overtime are regular requirements of this position.
