FLEET AND FAMILY READINESS
Commander, Navy Region Southeast Fleet and Family Readiness is responsible for policy development, resourcing, and oversight of quality of life programs for Navy Sailors and their families. FFR enables a ready Navy force by providing the following programs and support office functions:
- Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR)
- Navy Gateway Inns and Suites (NGIS)
- Child and Youth Programs (CYP)
- Fleet and Family Support Program
- Family and Bachelor Housing
- Galley Programs
The integration of programs within FFR is designed to optimize individual programs and their joint operations. The organization of these programs by functional specialty enables staff at all levels of the organization to be selected for their expertise in specific functional areas and enables programs to focus soley on the best delivery of services. Our business processes are continuously monitored for operational effectiveness to ensure our customers receive the highest quality of service.

Family Readiness includes the Fleet and Family Support Program and Emergency Response.
The Fleet and Family Support Program provides services through Fleet and Family Support Centers, such as relocation assistance, new parent support, deployment services, clinical counseling services, financial management counseling, family employment services, family advocacy and the transition assistance programs.
The Emergency Response Program manages Navy Installations Command’s response plans to provide assistance to the Navy Family during a disaster.
Fleet Readiness is comprised of Morale, Welfare and Recreation Programs, official and recreational lodging, and food and beverage operations. These services include:

Navy Housing manages housing Navywide, including permanent party family housing and unaccompanied housing. Focused on assisting Sailors, both single and those with families, receive suitable, affordable and safe housing wherever they are assigned.
The Support Services Center supports the other four divisions and regional Fleet and Family Readiness Service Centers through a consolidation of management support functions, such as NAF financial management, marketing, training, NAF human resources, facilities and acquisition, information technology, and management evaluation and assistance.
Navy Wounded Warrior – Safe Harbor coordinates the non-medical care of seriously wounded, ill and injured Sailors and Coast Guardsmen, and provides resources and support to their families and offers individually-tailored assistance to ensure enrollees’ successful recovery, rehabilitation and reintegration.

Duties
May perform one or more of these duties or a combination of:
Accounting Functions
- Responsible for processing a variety of accounting transactions.
- Reconciles accounts and assures documents contain accurate and correct information and that the proper fund accounts are used.
- Typical assignments include: DARS, Account Receivables, Accounts Payables, Preparation and maintenance of inventory records, which includes consumables, minor property, retail, fixed assets and appropriated funds plant account inventory.
- Conducts yearly inventory.
- Prepare certificates of disposition for properties that are being dropped from property records.
- Responsible for processing payroll timecards for NAF employees.
- Assures timecards contain accurate and correct information and are supported by approved leave slips and work schedules.
- Verifies Human Resource entries to SAP HR every pay period to make sure new employee information and changes to existing employee is posted in the Payroll Master File.
- Ensures all transactions are fully supported by documentation and processed in a timely manner.
- Performs end of month, end of fiscal year and end of calendar year closings.
- Print reports and verifies the correctness.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Business Manager or immediate supervisor.
