Duties
This position serves as a Purchasing Agent within the Engineering Service at the VA Boston Healthcare System in West Roxbury, Massachusetts.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm.
Recruitment & Relocation Incentives: Not authorized.
Financial Disclosure Report: Not Required.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Performing a wide variety of administrative tasks associated with maintaining and supporting the Engineering section;
- Acting as primary liaison between the West Roxbury campus Engineering office and administrative offices outside the organization;
- Typing and submitting reports and documents;
- Transcribing and compiling reports, documents and statistical data for the Engineering service;
- Managing government vehicle reservations for the Fleet and submitting monthly reports of use;
- Coordinating procurement activity in the Engineering service;
- Establishing procedures for prompt reconciliation and approval of credit card statements; and
- Entering non-purchase card requests for materials and service and alerting the Chief, Engineering or other designated Control Point Official of need for approving transactions and following-up on the status of requests.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm.
