About the Agency

The Fort Campbell Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) Civilian Personnel Advisory Center's mission is to recruit, develop and sustain a professional civilian workforce through effective, efficient, and responsive Human Resource products and advisory services. We are a fast paced office with constant change, servicing over 1100 NAF Civilian Personnel within the Army's Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation program. Fort Campbell is located on the Kentucky/Tennessee border between Hopkinsville, KY and Clarksville, TN. Fort Campbell is the home of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) the only Air Assault Division in the world. The area provides inexpensive country living with the benefits of a major metropolitan area less than an hour away - the home of Country Music and the Grand Ole Opry, Nashville, TN.

Duties

NF-02 Duties to include, but are not limited to:

1. Assists higher graded staff in processing a variety of routine human resource tasks requiring knowledge of Nonappropriated Fund (NAF) civilian personnel rules and regulations.

2. Assists higher graded staff in writing and posting vacancy announcements, receiving and rating applications for employment, preparing lists of qualified candidates and referring these to management for interview and selection.

3. Assists in the preparation and processing of documents related to NAF employment.

4. Initiates pre-employment screening processes and clears candidates for employment.

5. Performs other duties as assigned.

**This is a developmental position leading to the full performance level of NF-0203-03 as described in position description number 19549 (NAF/Recruitment & Placement).**

NF-03 Duties include, but are not limited to:

1. Assists senior Human Resources staff in a Nonappropriated Fund (NAF) Human Resources Office by performing a wide variety of technical support in a generalist capacity to administer the NAF Human Resources Program to include: the processing of routine and complex personnel actions, conducting strategic recruitment discussions with management, participation in mass hiring, or selection events, creating and posting vacancy announcements.

2. Assists with minor employee relations and/or labor relations actions, such as advice and assistance regarding performance management, workers' compensation and preparation of packages for suitability determination when pre-employment screenings indicate derogatory information.

3. Enters data into and ensures the maintenance of human resource information systems. Establishes and maintains official folders, files and reports. Answers general human resources questions and inquiries.

4.Performs miscellaneous clerical work such as typing a variety of documents, compiling information from reports, creating and maintaining folders and written responses to applicant or management inquiries.

5. Uses automated systems to track requests for personnel actions and continually updates status of assigned personnel actions.

6. Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.

7. Performs other duties as assigned.
