This position is located at Detroit Arsenal, Garrison, Morale, Welfare, Recreation Fund, Post Restaurant in Warren, MI

Duties

Collects sales slips, total sales on cash register, accepts payment from patrons and makes change as necessary.
Keeps work area clean and orderly.
Sets up food service counters and steam tables, fills beverage containers.
Prepares fruits and vegetables for cooking and serving. Prepares sandwiches
Performs all duties as required in a full service cafeteria.

Job Requirements

Key Requirements

• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check

Qualifications

1. Experience or training that indicates knowledge skills and ability to perform the duties of this position.
2. Ability to follow oral and written instructions in English.
3. Possess basic math skills.
4. Able to bend, stoop, walk and reach frequently.
5. Be able to lift and carry weights up to 40 pounds.

Conditions of Employment:
1. If selected, a completed and signed copy of our job application form (DA Form 3433) is required prior to entrance on duty. (Click here to view form).
2. Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.
3. Must meet state/local age requirements at the time of appointment if serving alcoholic beverages.
4. Certificate of medical examination is required.
5. Satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-15,j(1). Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a common access card for physical access to federally controlled facilities.
