About the Position:This position is a Administrative Support Assistant (OA) position with the US Army Corps of Engineers - Tulsa District in the Real Estate Division. The position is located in Tulsa, OK. Incorporated in 1898, Tulsa lies in the heart of "Green Country", a fertile forested region of rolling hills in northeastern Oklahoma. Duties
As an Administrative Support Assistant, you will perform as a centralized point of contact in all administrative and clerical services to the Branch. Duties include, but are not limited to, office automation, administration support, time and attendance functions, filing, and written and oral communication.Prepare travel orders and vouchers for supported employees.
Input time and attendance utilizing a reporting system.
Review incoming and outgoing correspondence for conformance to regulations, grammar, formats and special policies.
Maintain office files in compliance with regulations.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Experience for GS-05
To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as performing one or both of the following duties: 1) utilizing automated office software to prepare documents, correspondence, and spreadsheets; OR 2) performing administrative support duties for an office, such as travel arrangements or file maintenance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade(or equivalent). Experience for GS-06
To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as performing 2 out of the 3 following duties: 1) preparing documents, correspondence, and reports/graphs/charts using automated office software programs; OR 2) preparing travel orders/vouchers; OR 3) coordinating transportation/lodging arrangements for office staff. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade(or equivalent).
