Duties

In this IT Specialist (NETWORK) position you will become a key team member of Homeland Security professionals providing technology service, implementing projects and deploying systems to reduce downtime and maintain operational availability for CBP personnel worldwide. Typical work assignments include:
  • Diagnosing and resolving problems in response to customer-reported incidents
  • Installing, testing, configuring, integrating, troubleshooting, optimizing and maintaining customer hardware and software to maximize system availability and ensure efficient and effective sharing transmission of information
  • Assisting in the installation and integration of system patches, repairs, updates, and enhancements to ensure the delivery of IT services
  • Supporting system resources including performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability to ensure the delivery of IT services
  • Ensuring security compliance by reviewing network permissions and access to systems while providing account maintenance
