Duties

This is a Bargaining Position Unit.
Tour of Duty: 7:30 am - 4:00 pm; 8:00 am - 4:30 pm; 8:30 am - 5:00 pm Monday - Friday, Rotating Shifts including weekends and holidays (Hours may be extended if patient needs arise)
DUTIES:
The incumbent provides broad range of technical support functions in pharmacy. Assists pharmacists in filling medication orders by selecting, packaging, and labeling the proper drug and dosage. Fills drugs orders as assigned; maintains drug accountability. Maintains files of dispensing records and action profiles. Maintains files of dispensing records and action profiles. Fills patient unit dose carts independently utilizing order copies or "pick" lists. Inputs, updates and edits "pick" lists to provide accurate dispensing record. Maintains ward stock inventories. Conducts and documents monthly ward inspections. Determines pre-packaging and compounding needs for pharmacy dispensing. Packages, documents, and properly labels all pre-packaged units for dispensing. Properly packages, labels, documents and verifies accuracy of finished product. Fills medication orders using pharmacy automation. Maintains, cleans, and calibrates pharmacy automation. Responsible for maintaining all products requiring compounding either in small batches for a single prescription/medication order or in bulk preparation to be dispensed as more than one prescription/medication order. Monitors and analyzes drug use patterns when necessary. Observes and consistently displays a good sterile technique in the manufacturing process.
