Every day, our Immigration Management Assistants support the administrative and operational aspects of USCIS management and program operations by performing a variety of clerical and technical work in support of management and program analysis functions and processes.
This position of IMMIGRATION MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT OA starts at a salary of $37,457 GS-05, Step 1 grade level, with promotion potential to$60,322 GS-07, Step 10 grade level.

Duties
The duties described are for the full-performance level. At developmental grade levels, assignments will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence, and limited complexity.
As a IMMIGRATION MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT OA, you will:
As a IMMIGRATION MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT OA, you will:
- Completing a variety of physical, database and system file checks to prepare cases for adjudication and coordinate with other units to resolve non-routine issues and cases.
- Updating systems with current information required for reports and data analysis and administering management information systems.
- Assisting the Contract Performance Analysts with inspections, preparation of reports and procedure planning as well as reviewing daily deposits.
- Supporting various administrative or operational programs by managing requests from internal customers; managing inquiries using various USCIS databases, electronic systems and reports; and reviewing and analyzing files and providing case status information and explanation.
- Handling special mailings, creating databases, and maintaining files and filing systems.
- Operating word-processing software and computer hardware to produce, store and retrieve drafts of a variety of document types.
