Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! This position is located at the STAFFING BRANCH, HUMAN RESOURCES DIVISION, MARINE CORPS COMMUNITY SERVICES, LEJEUNE-NEW RIVER. Candidates selected for this position will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT for MCCS.
Duties
Assists human resources technicians and specialists by performing a variety of clerical duties, in support of personnel work, which may include one or more of the following: recruiting, processing personnel actions, benefits, including dental, medical and insurance claims, workman's compensation, orientation, training, exit interviews, etc.
Types a variety of material such as personnel action changes, forms, reports, award certificates, directives, etc.
May prepare various personnel reports and statistics related to assigned functions. May operate computer to input data to update and maintain records, e.g., manning levels and other pertinent data. Demonstrates and promotes World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and associates, and communicates positively in a courteous and considerate manner. Acknowledges customers and associates; smiles and makes eye contact. Asks questions to determine, verify and solve problems. Helps shape customer and associates expectations. Inspires and sustains the trust and confidence of customers, associates, colleagues, senior management and subordinates. Checks for satisfaction with the quality of goods and services. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Uses required safety equipment, and observes safe work procedures. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor.
Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment. This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs may be required. Performs other related duties as assigned.
