About the Position:Since 1866, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, San Francisco district has been meeting the
needs of the region. Over time, the needs of the region have evolved, so has the San
Francisco District. Today, the San Francisco District continues to deliver superior-
quality projects and services, building on our long-standing record of excellence.
Commanded by a uniformed Army officer, the San Francisco District is comprised of mostly
civilian personnel organized into divisions, including Program and Project Management,
Engineering and Technical Services, Operations and Readiness, Regulatory, and Resource

Duties
This is a developmental position, duties listed below will be performed in a developmental capacity: You will serve as the Resident Office Assistant for the MOTCO Resident Office. Maintains stand-alone Resident Office operation budget. Coordinate al fiscal functions involving the establishment of budgets and the maintenance and control of multiple funds covering all activities of the Resident Office, and subordinate Project Offices, operating budget. Interpret and implement regulations, policies, and keeps all interests of the area informed of budgetary matters. Performs office administrative functions.

Incumbent will visit other locations by driving government vehicle.

Qualifications

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: Performing time keeping functions an filing correspondence. Performing general office duties such as handling of mail, telephone calls, and visitors, reviewing outgoing correspondence, using operating systems, such as Windows7, Windows XP, Windows Vista, assembling reports, using Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power Point, Microsoft Outlook. Typing Proficiency: This position requires a qualified typist.
You must type at least 40 words per minute.
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency (knowledge, skills, abilities) in the following areas:
Knowledge of Budgeting Procedures, Operations and Guidelines
Ability to Provide Administrative Support
Ability to Plan, Organize and Coordinate Activities and Office Schedules
Skill in Using Computers and Various Software Programs
Ability to Communicate
