Red River Army Depot (RRAD) is located in northeast Texas, 19 miles west of Texarkana and approximately 170 miles northeast of Dallas. RRAD is near the corners of 4 states - Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas. This is an entry trainee level position (PD# 19530) leading to the full performance level as described in PD #19549 for Human Resources Assistant (NAF), NF-0203-03 position. Assignments are selected to ensure the development of skills and abilities needed to perform the target level duties. The employee works under closer than normal supervision wherein work is closely reviewed and detailed guidance provided as needed. Duties
Process personnel actions in DCPDS.
Assist higher graded staff in writing and posting vacancy announcements.
Initiate pre-employment screening process.
Conduct pre-employment and in-processing briefs.
Establishes and maintain files, folders, and various correspondence.

Qualifications
NF-02 Level:Possess six (6) months of progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience, which demonstrates the ability to accomplish various human resources tasks and utilize human resource information systems. Highly Preferred: Prior work experience in a Human Resources Office. NF-03 Level:Possess six (6) months of work experience in a human resources profession demonstrating the capability to perform recruitment and placement functions such as posting vacancy announcements and rating applicants for qualifications and eligibility. Possess experience utilizing an automated recruitment and staffing system (i.e USA Staffing, AVUE, PeopleSoft, etc). Possess prior experience using Microsoft Office Programs ( Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and the ability to work with a variety of human resources information systems. Highly Preferred: In addition to above minimum qualification requirements, applicants will possess prior work experience in a NAF Human Resources Office in a recruitment and placement capacity. Applicants who meet the minimum qualifications and the highly preferred criteria will be referred to the hiring official first.
