Duties

• Works with Region Master Scheduler and other site organizations to schedule available classrooms and breakout rooms.
• Sets up and stages classroom for each course offering according to requirements documents.
• Orders supplies in support of site and class schedule. Maintains up-to-date records detailing the method and status of reproduction of course materials.
• Responsible for the organization, storage and inventory of all course material both electronic and hardcopy. The technician efficiently designs the layout and storage requirements for course materials based on thorough knowledge of course requirements, space limitations, and course set up requirements.
• Use Microsoft Word, Excel, Power point, Project and Adobe Acrobat to accomplish routine tasks of correspondence, course materials up-dates, and course schedule maintenance.
• Operates course specific Defense Acquisition University (DAU) Academic Support systems to include Student Tracking and Record System (for determining and updated student status, printing student rosters) and Blackboard (for retrieving up-to-date course materials).
• Assists Faculty in research efforts. Conducts background and literature searches for specified topics relating to DAU course materials. Develops Quick Summaries of articles and other literature for faculty research projects.

Qualifications

You must have one year of specialized experience at the NH-1702-I grade level in Federal service or an equivalent position in the civilian sector.  Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.  You must demonstrate experience using a computer system to conduct general office procedures by using Microsoft Word and Excel to create charts, tables, manipulate data, compile surveys, analyze the results, and troubleshoot computer equipment and software. 


SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:  Four years of successfully completed education above the high school level in any field for which high school graduation, or the equivalent, is a prerequisite may be substituted to meet the specialized experience requirement.  You must provide transcripts to substitute experience.

Background or Security Investigation: This is a non critical position. Employment in this position requires a background investigation which may delay your starting date. If you are selected and cannot obtain a favorable security determination within a reasonable period of time due to disclosed or undisclosed background issues, the employment offer may be withdrawn. Individuals selected for this position are required to obtain and maintain a favorable security determination to occupy a sensitive position within the agency as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain eligibility to occupy a sensitive position may result in termination.
